In a recent appearance on an American talk show, Priyanka Chopra’s seemingly light-hearted remarks became the cause of great outrage back at home.

Priyanka appeared on the Late Night With Seth Meyers to promote the upcoming season of her show Quantico. In between talking about the show and her Italian experience, the actress also addressed the stereotypes people have about Bollywood. When Seth Meyers quizzed her about the stereotypes Indians have about Hollywood, she said, “Aliens always land in America,” adding, “I want an alien in India.”

This remark didn’t sit well with India’s premiere alien import Jaadoo, who made an indelible mark with his performance in Koi Mil Gaya (2003), a movie about an alien showing people that nobody cares about inner beauty, it’s the good looks that count.

To add insult to the injury, Priyanka was one of the main leads in the two sequels to the movie, Krrish and Krrish 3.

“How can she say that aliens don’t exist?” Tweeted Jaadoo, “She must apologize immediately.”

The alien also wrote an open letter to the actress, alleging that in forgetting his existence, she has shown that she is not purely Indian at heart.

Read Jaadoo’s full open letter here:

Dear Priyanka,

I am an alien, from a planet far away from your home. I landed on Earth and made it my home. But in my 23 years of existence on this planet, this is the first time I felt unwelcomed.

How dare you?

I told that b**ch-a*s Rohit that you’re no good. And boy, was I right! I think you must have forgotten that it was ME who gave your boyfriend’s father the ability to stun people with his good looks, a trait he passed onto his son. It was MY alien voodoo s**t that made your boyfriend climb those mountains like Akshay Kumar on cocaine. And you FORGOT my existence?

How easily you laughed and said “India doesn’t have aliens”. It is this mentality that still causes children to assume that if they keep me out in the sunlight for long, I’ll give them the ability to fly. It’s been a long and hard journey for me. I’ve survived on a planet that thinks it’s OK to remake Judwaa 2 and I have thrived. Or at least I thought I did.

Thank you, Priyanka. Thank you for making me feel like trash again.

I will be waiting by my phone for your aplogy.

In positive anticipation,

Jaadoo
