Actor Sidharth Malhotra has been romantically linked to some of Bollywood’s most beautiful actresses and is conventionally attractive, yet it’s hard to actually muster up enough enthusiasm to care about what he’s up to.
Despite this universally recognised fact, he repeatedly gets asked about his dating life, perhaps out of habit. In a candid chat with a leading daily, the Aiyyari actor revealed that he has been catfished at least thrice by birds pretending to be beautiful women in the past.
“I got on the online dating bandwagon thinking that it would help me meet the love of my life, but it was a disaster,” he said. Turns out Sidharth Malhotra can be easily fooled by birds on the Internet. “They used pictures of human women in their profiles. How was I supposed to know?”
It brings forth the obvious question that he might have been fooled once, but how did it happen two more times?
“I am a romantic at heart. I trust very easily,” he said.
According to the actor, he ‘dated’ the birds (always the same pair of sparrows who pretended to be different women to fool Sidharth) for over two months before discovering their identity.
“It always happened by accident,” he confessed, “The last time I was being catfished, I asked the girl/birds to video chat with me. They kept refusing until the realisation hit em and I asked them if they were those sparrows again.”
He might have been burnt in love but he isn’t giving up. “There’s a woman out there for me, I’m sure,” he said, “This time, I just want a human woman to date.”
