Actor Sara Ali Khan has had enough of people criticising her recent magazine shoot. In the photoshoot, she is posing with a Masai tribesman in Kenya. Many have called out that picture for being appropriated and racist.
Filmfare was cancelled a long time ago, so can one double cancel it? #SaraAliKhan should know better, isn’t she that rare star kid who completed her education? Or did she miss out an entire history of colonialism? Or is she just plain stupid and has hidden it well so far? https://t.co/sCs47QvoN6 — Anushree Majumdar (@CaptBackspace) February 27, 2019

“How can I be racist? I had two black students in my class when I was in Colombia university for Witchcraft and Wizardry,” she said, on the backlash she has been receiving on Twitter.
Sara made her debut in the industry last year, with two forgettable roles and some solid PR-backed answers for nepotism playing a major role in her career.
Internet fame is fickle and while she was lauded for being articulate and self-aware, people are now calling her out for being ignorant.
“Yeah, I might be ignorant, but need I remind you that my father very publicly claimed that the controlled breeding of star kids make them better actors than people who don’t have stars as parents,” she said. The Kedarnath actress is referring to the highly entertaining apology by Saif Ali Khan to Kangana Ranaut, for making nepotism jokes on her at an award function. After apologising to her, Saif said that people must acknowledge the involvement of eugenics in this whole nepotism debate, claiming that children of people who are actors and in the biz have a certain edge because of their genes.
He was wildly incorrect, since eugenics is a science, favoured by the likes of Hitler, that says that it’s possible to improve the human race and society by encouraging reproduction by people with ‘desirable’ traits.
“So, you can see why I’m not the worst Ali Khan to have around,” said Sara.
