Ananya Panay recently made her debut, opposite Tiger Shroff, in the second instalment of the Student of the Year franchise. While the movie was panned across the country for being ‘the worst thing to come out of Karan Johar’s brain after any joke about nepotism’, Ananya’s performance was appreciated for ‘not making people wish they had battery acid to pour in their eyes’.

But in an exclusive admission, made exclusively to us in an exclusive arrangement exclusively, the actress revealed that she had been offered the role of James Bond, in the upcoming Bond movie, but had to turn it down because SOTY 2 was closer to her heart.

“I was going to be the first female Bond in the history of James Bond, but the dates clashed with Student of the Year, so I turned it down,” she said.

According to Ananya, she was approached to play the iconic role of the British spy because she was really beautiful and had experience in parkour from her parkour classes with Will Smith.

“I was surprised too, but not really,” she said, “Why wouldn’t they come to me for that role?”

Actor Chunky Panday, Ananya’s father, revealed how proud he felt when his daughter chose SOTY 2 over James Bond. “It’s just that as a kid, I wasn’t allowed to watch the James Bond movies, because they were too violent for me. But I could always see Student of the Year because it taught wholesome values like if you’re good looking you can get away with the most asinine of dialogues,” he said.

Anaya also revealed that she was asked to be the first woman to walk on Mars and has, in fact, caught all Pokemon known to man.
