Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s relationship has been rocky ever since the actress announced her departure from Khan’s movie Bharat. Despite Salman Khan’s several generous attempts at extending an olive branch, including asking his fans to sign a petition, if they want to see him work with Priyanka again

But, turns out, a Salman-Priyanka reunion is not going to be possible anytime soon.

The Quantico actress recently took to Instagram to announce her upcoming projects, including the adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s award-winning novel The White Tiger with Rajkummar Rao.

While PC’s fans were overjoyed at the announcement, Salman Khan was less than enthused.

At a press conference to promote a new line of assless chaps by Being Human, the Dabangg actor was asked about how he feels about Priyanka’s Bollywood comeback, to which he replied with an agonised cry that took everyone by surprise.

“I wanted to produce and star in The White Tiger. Tigers are my thing,” the actor cried, promptly leaving the stage and the venue.

The actor later released a statement, clarifying his response to the question about Priyanka Chopra.

“It would’ve been the sequel to my movie Tiger Zinda hai, in which I had planned to keep a white tiger as my on-screen son’s pet,” read the statement.

According to Salman he had been planning the third part of the Tiger franchise for over a year now and is ‘hurt and confused’ at Priyanka’s decision to basically, steal the movie idea all of a sudden.

“I like to plan my diet and make a mental grocery shopping list for the next week when Salman starts to talk,” said close friend and ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, when asked for a comment.

The actor concluded the statement by claiming that he is still waiting for a public apology or at least an open letter from Priyanka.
