After a teasing people with a sneak-peek of the remixed version of A.R Rahman’s ‘Masakali’ from Delhi 6, the full song has been released. Aside from butchering the lyrics of the original and establishing that T-Series is garbage, the song features Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria.

Talking about the controversial remix, the actor said, “I know many people will not like it, but it had to be done.”
According to him, he had to star in a remixed version of a song’s music video in order to be fully conducted into the Hall of Shame of Bollywood actors. “When I was thinking about which song to feature in, I knew that it had to be something about birds.”
In case you didn’t know, Sidharth Malhotra has a history with birds.
“A few years ago, I was in a virtual relationship with a woman and was very happy about it,” said Sidharth Malhotra, “When I finally met her in real life, I discovered that I was being catfished by two birds who were just pretending to be a human woman.”
This was not the only time he was catfished by the birds. A few months later, it was reported that he found himself in the same situation with the same pair of birds.
“I told Tanishk Bagchi that I wanted to express my angst through a song, and he said ‘tssgghjlldldl’, something I couldn’t understand because he’s full of trash,” he said. “But someone translated it for me and it meant ‘sure, bruh’. So it was on.”
Tanishk Bagchi presented him with two options, either they could remix ‘Kabootar ja’ from Maine Pyar Kiya, or ‘Masakali’ from Delhi 6. They settled on the latter after a coin toss.
“I hope people understand the spirit of the song and don’t make the same mistakes that I did,” said Sidharth.
