Actor and amateur beatboxer Shah Rukh Khan has finally answered all the haters who have been questioning his silence on the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register for Citizens (now being called the National Population Register).

Over the past few days, several celebrities have bravely come out in support of public buses and the wastage of taxpayer’s money.

As one of the most famous Bollywood celebrity, and an alumnus of Jamia University, Shah Rukh Khan has had nothing to say about the violence against the students of his alma mater or the issue plaguing the nation right now.

The actor is also known for his presence on Twitter, but has been markedly absent from the Internet ever since the protests started. But the actor cleared the air recently with an Instagram post, setting everyone’s minds at ease.

“The reason I’ve been absent from social media is because I was busy editing a photo of my son AbRam so that it looks like he is wearing a Santa hat when, in fact, he was wearing no Santa hat at the time of the photoshoot,” wrote the actor as the caption of a horrifying edit of a photo of his son AbRam.

“I’m not very good with technology, so it takes me twice as much time as anyone else to edit a photo to post on Instagram,” clarified the actor, in a public statement later that day, “I had to choose the exact colours that will look tacky yet playful at the same time. I have not been able to get up for air since I started editing the photo 2 weeks ago.”

Now that he has provided a solid reason for his silence on the issue, does he have anything to say about it? “I think I need to read more about the issue before commenting on it,” he said, before signing off.
