ICYMI, the world has been frothing at the mouth after a quote from Harshvardhan Kapoor’s recent interview went viral.

In the interview with Quartz magazine, the least successful Kapoor sibling decided to add a generous dose of misogyny to his usual doucheness. When asked if his (more successful) sisters guide him while he makes decisions equivalent to a trainwreck, he said, “Sonam is in her own world, and she’s done all kinds of films. But I also think it’s easier sometimes for a heroine to fit in a lot of films…for example, a Padman is not driven by her, right? So she doesn’t have to be there for a 100 days. Heroines can be more free. For me now, the whole film will hinge on my shoulders…So, I don’t really take advice from her.”

Harshvardhan then went on to tweet that the quote has been misconstrued and he didn’t actually mean to come off as the misogynist he really is.

But, as the kids say, the damage was done.

According to reports that we can’t completely verify, Harshvardhan was removed from the Kapoor family WhatsApp group ‘Kapoor Klan Kollective (KKK)’, a few hours after the interview went viral.

“He wasn’t expecting it, that’s for sure. It’s just so harsh,” said Karan Johar.

Sonam has admitted in the past how close knit the family is and how it’s majorly due to the family WhatsApp group and Anil Kapoor’s daily-forwarded memes on it. “KKK is the glue that holds our family together,” she had said in an interview last month.

Apparently it was a joint decision, by both Sonam and Rhea, and Harshvardhan was made aware of the news after he didn’t wake up to Anil Kapoor’s ‘Good Morning’ message, an image of a sunrise with the phrase ‘Good Morning’ written in pink Monotype Corsiva font.

Whether he’ll be added back to the group or not is unclear, but we guess justice has been served.
