Actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are fully immersed in promoting their upcoming movie Sui Dhaaga: Made In India all over the country.

After yarn bombing Govinda’s house and sewing a tapestry that said ‘Tuffy was innocent’, the duo are now challenging other actors to sew their mouths shut, with a regular thread and needle, on Instagram.

“It’s such a novel idea,” said Anushka Sharma on doing an Instagram challenge for promoting a movie, “I don’t think it’s been done before in India, or even the world.”

They kicked off the challenge by asking Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Badshah to sew their mouth shut on camera, who then further challenged Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor to do the same.

The challenged celebrities have to quickly thread a needle and use it to sew their mouths shut ,without crying, in 30 seconds.

Other celebrities who have taken a part in this challenge, and are now badly injured, are Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Shatrugan Sinha.

“We tried challenging Akshay Kumar, but he kept posting pictures of him holding a pad, saying that he has now completed the ‘Sui Dhaaga challenge’,” said Varun Dhawan, dejectedly, “It’s a lost cause.”

Now that Kiki challenge is over, we needed a new, potentially life threatening, challenge to keep us amused. How excited are you for people to try the ‘Sui Dhaaga challenge’?
