The Supreme Leader had asked the nation to observe ‘Janta Curfew’ for a few hours recently, to prevent the rapid spread of Corona virus in the country. He had also asked people to clap loudly and bang spoons against pots and steel plates to drown the voices of healthcare workers demanding better protection and measures to be taken to ensure their safety as they battle at the forefront of this epidemic.

Many celebrities came out in support of this and posted videos on Instagram of them clapping and banging pots and pans to do the bare minimum. Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in the U.S, also took part in the initiative and posted a video of herself clapping on her balcony.

“We must clap to make our Dark Lord smile, we must clap to let him know we’re listening,” she said, on being asked about the buffoonery, “I may not be near him, but I will always do what he asks.”

When asked if she thinks this will do anything substantial for the healthcare workers risking their lives, she said, “Sure,” as she continued to clap to a vast empty field, with a blank look in her eyes…
