Indian Twitter has been taken by a storm with people posting pictures of themselves in sarees under the hashtag #SareeTwitter. With hundreds of posts pouring in from all parts of the country, Delhi-based HR executive Mahek Chandna wants to make it clear that the only reason she hasn’t posted any saree photo yet is because all the good ones are on her other phone.
“I totally have, like, 15 photos of myself from my brother’s wedding last year. Then there are the ones I took for my school’s Conti party and farewell,” said Mahek.
According to Mahek’s close friends and family, she has always diligently posted photos under every trending hashtag. “She’s never done Yoga before, but on #WorldYogaDay, she posted three photos of her doing the Shavasana. It was chilling,” said her mother.
Mahek Tweeted her clarification out to her 65 followers on Twitter and then posted a screenshot of that Tweet on her Instagram story for better reach with her 160 Instagram followers.
“If I hadn’t switched from my old phone to this new one, then I would have had all my photos. I don’t trust the Cloud,” she said.
