As the current government is big on making everything in India and loving everything about India (even the corruption, caste system, poverty, poor infrastructure and the lack of safety for women), it came as a shock to many Indians when one woman said she doesn’t like a particular Indian daily soap.

After, what we can only assume, were many jagerbombs, this woman Tweeted her thoughts about finding a particular Indian TV show not up to the standards of the kind of content the world is consuming right now. She dared to make this anti-national remark by comparing Kasautiiiii Zindagiiii Kayyy to TV shows made in the West like Big Little Lies, Fleabag and Sharp Objects.

Thankfully, she was rightfully called out by one smart person who told her to #NeverForget something as important as this.

Turns out, this is not enough cause for any nation to grant asylum or give citizenship.

“I showed them screenshots of the DMs I’ve gotten from folks on Twitter, telling me to move out of the country because I have no allegiance to Indian TV shows, but they told me to shove it,” said the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous because this is hella embarrassing.

The US Embassy responded with a statement, saying, “Despite being horrified by the lack of nationalism showed by this young lady, we can’t grant her citizenship based on this as that’s not how the world works.”

She’s rightfully pretty miserable right now but still not miserable enough to start watching Kasaaaaaauti Zindagggggii Kayyy (or however that is spelt).
